Literature on the Cemetery

Matthé, Eva: The Jewish Cemetery in Sankt Ottilien, St. Ottilien 2003, revised edition 2013
Documentation of the history and tombs of the Jewish cemetery at St. Ottilien. Digital version: Jewish Cemetery.

Rolatschek, Gerhard: Der KZ-Friedhof von St. Ottilien, in: Landsberger Geschichtsblätter 118 (2020), p. 103-114
History of the Hospital cemetery in St. Ottilien which shows that from May 1945 until August 1948 76 patients were buried at the cemetery (today after exhumations still 73). The article reconstructs the biographies of the single patients as far as it is known and can prove that the graves have not been touched. Only the tombstones are now moved to the outer wall of the cemetery. Instead of the two patients who were exhumed (Chaim Gutfraind and Ephraim Weinberg) and brought to New York, the tombstones are now buried in the former graves. See Rolatschek-KZ-cemetery
